Animal Care & Control of New York City (AC&C) is the largest animal organization in the Northeast, rescuing over 30,000 animals each year. As a non-profit organization since 1995, AC&C rescues, cares for and finds loving homes for homeless and abandoned animals in New York City. AC&C facilities operate in all five boroughs. For more information, please visit our web site.
AC&C has hundreds of animals available for adoption every day! If you are looking to add a wonderful dog, cat or rabbit to your family, AC&C is the right place to find your new furry friend. We encourage you to learn more about the adoption process, download an adoption application, and visit one of our three Adoption Centers:
|
Manhattan Animal Care Center 326 East 110th Street New York, NY 10029 |
Brooklyn Animal Care Center 2336 Linden Boulevard Brooklyn, NY 11208 |
Staten Island Animal Care Center 3139 Veterans Road West Staten Island, NY 10309 |
If you can open your home temporarily to a cat or dog in need, please consider becoming a foster volunteer with AC&C! We regularly take in nursing moms with babies, kittens without mothers, and injured and ill animals. These animals may need extra TLC to get healthy and ready for adoption. The AC&C Foster program takes animals out of the shelter environment and places them into the homes of caring individuals. Time commitment is flexible! Sign up for a foster orientation to learn more.
