Our Mission

AmsterDog Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization comprised entirely of volunteers that is dedicated to the plight of abandoned and at-risk animals in shelters and in the community. All donations received provide necessities for placement such as veterinary care, rehabilitative training, supplies, transportation, and other related expenses.

AmsterDog frequently pulls dogs & cats from overcrowded city shelters' emergency placement lists. We do not have our own facility and, instead, have our adoptable animals in fosters and/or boarding in multiple locations. This allows their true personalities to shine and their caretakers can tell you the animal's likes, favorite treats, special scratch spots, plus more!

Adopting an AmsterDog not only gives a deserving animal a loving home, it also opens up a spot to save the life of another animal in need of rescuing.
