R-CATS is taking applications for Foster Homes. Part of our Mission is to help those adoptable cats we encounter during our TNR efforts, including kittens born to feral mothers. Without fosters to help socialize them, our only option is to fix them and return them. If you have room in your heart and your home to help us with this important work, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
We also have several wonderful cats who are looking for their forever homes. We encourage you to think about adopting one of these special cats to help us make room for those who will need our help in the upcoming months.
Our WISH LIST includes not only monetary donations to help with vet costs but also green cleaning suppies, paper towels, puppy pads, clean bedding items such as towels and sheets, can or dry cat food, scoopable cat litter, and new or gently used crates and cat furniture.
R-CATS has an adoption application process that typically takes a week to complete. A veterinarian reference and two non-relative personal references are required and a home visit is conducted. A $50 adoption donation is requested, which may be waived in certain instances such as long-term fosters and special needs placements. A landlord permission letter is required if you rent.
The R-CATS Program is an all volunteer program founded in 2011 to assist the city's residents with spaying/neutering and vaccinating the outdoor or community cats sharing our neighborhoods. In addition, as we are able, we take in adoptable cats and kittens encountered during our TNR efforts and foster them until they find their "forever" family.
