News

June 2008 Hi Everyone, First let me thank you for visiting Petfinders. I have not had time to update the ferrets that have come into the shelter in the past month but I there are 3 pairs and 1 triplet of very young ferrets here ready to go their their forever homes. Hopefully, I will be able to get to this in the very near future. If you are interested in younger ferrets, all of them are from 6 mos to almost 2 years. Below is a list of the ferrets. They all are in pairs and they all get along with others so if you are wanting to add to your family, these are great little ones. Zoey and Jinx both females Abby, Gizmo and Iggy 1 female 2males Dillinger and Mojo both males Peaches and Opie Contact the shelter and set up a time to visit all of the wonderful ferrets that are up for adoption. We are in desperate need of volunteers to help with the ferrets. If you can spare a few hours a week we all would be so greatful. Anyone that would like to donate to the veterinarian care, please donations to Carson Valley Veterinarian Hospital, Hwy 88, Minden, NV 89423. Their phone number is: 775-782-3693 Items that are always appreciated are: HE detergent, regular bleach, paper towels, 13 gallon trash bags, 8 in One Ultimate Food, Zupreme, Totally Ferret and TF Baby, N-Bones, and Ferretone but most of all, volunteers. Monetary donations are always greatly appreciated.

Who We Are

Ferrets with Soul(e) is a no-kill animal shelter which is dedicated to helping ferrets, and educating the public in the proper care and treatment of ferrets. We take in lost, unclaimed, or owner-released ferrets and place them in homes. If the ferret is sick, veterinary care is provided before adoption. All ferrets are current on their distemper shots. If a ferrets' health or age does not allow for adoption, we care for that ferret until its natural death. We NEVER put a ferret to sleep because we could not find him/her a home. There is a mandatory owner-release fee of $25 per ferret. The release fee, in conjunction with completing the release form is to cover the cost of initialing taking in a ferret. The ferrets are fed a mix of high quality ferret foods ( Totally Ferret and Totally Ferret Kit, Mazuri, Evo Ferret Food, Zupreem, Path Valley Farms, Sheppard and Greene and 8 in 1 Ultimate Ferret Food) and ferret soup twice daily. The soup is veterinarian approved and used by the Carson Valley Veterinarian Hospital. Treats given are: Totally Ferret, Superior Choice Chicken and Beef (freeze dried) & Ferretone Veterinarians: Dr. Cameron Ross and Dr. Katie Roberts Carson Valley Veterinarian Hospital
