We are at Petsmart, or other locations, some weekends with adoptable bassets. Please check our website for days, dates and times. There will be a banner running at the top of the Home Page if there is an upcoming adoption event. Please note that even when we bring bassets out to adoption sites, we still follow our standard adoption procedure. That entails the online adoption application (available on our website at www.rescuebassets.com ) and a home visit to the potential adopter's home. News
Who We Are
An all volunteer non-profit organization that rescues needy bassets in the Southern Nevada area. They are treated by our veterinarian and readied for adoption into loving, forever homes. We do adoptions in the Southern Nevada area only. If you are outside S. Nevada, please check for a basset rescue in your area by visiting www.dailydrool.com and clicking on RESCUE. We are a 501C-3, non-profit organization.
Adopting a friend
Our rescue bassets are kept in loving foster homes until adoption. We assess them for health and behavior before adoption. Our adoption fees are $150 for dogs over the age of 2 years. Bassets under the age of 2 years, the adoption fee is $250. Adoption fee for senior dogs is normally $100. Since we do a home visit we will gladly bring a basset of your choice out to meet you and your family/pets. We remain available for post-adoption help and to answer any questions.
If for any reason an adoption does not work out, we take our bassets back into rescue. No questions asked. Ideally, we aim to make the best possible match at the beginning of the process so that both dog and new family are happy.
