We are "Lyon County Animal Services". We handle the animal control responsibilities for the unincorporated areas of Lyon County Nevada. Lyon is a rural county with a growing population. We are open five days a week.
Our office hours are 7:30am to 3:30 pm Monday-Friday.
Our Kennel/Adoption hours are 10:00am to 3:00 pm Monday-Friday.
Saturday and Sunday CLOSED

Adopting a Friend
We normally have many dogs available for adoption. Our adoption fee is $20.00, which includes a free one year license for County residents. We do not have a Vet on staff so the animals are not given a well animal check. Animals are sometimes exposed to illness before and after their stay at the shelter therefore they are an "as is" adoption. We also charge a $60.00 deposit that is refunded when you send the proof of rabies and spay/neuter within your ten day contract time.

We are on Hwy 50 West, 28 miles east of Carson City and 3 1/2 miles west of Silver Springs (the junction of Hwys 50 and 95A). We are just west of Lahotan Medical Center and just east of the Ramsey Weeks Cutoff.
