BBQ & Bake Sale June 17th, 18th & 19th, 2010 in Meteghan at UJ Robichaud's Timbr Mart.
Bingo, Sunday May 9th (Mother's Day), Meteghan Lions Hall, 1pm-4pm. $709 was raised! Thanks to everyone who attended & volunteered their help!
Our December 2009 raffle raised $1140! 1st Prize: Handmade Quilt donated by Gary Comeau (won by Annette Aymar) . 2nd Prize: Oil Painting by Thelma Maillet-Comeau (won by Elmer Deveau) , 3rd Prize: Dozen Lobsters donated by local fishermen (won by Jennifer Allen). We would like to thank everyone who donated prize items & bought tickets!
Our Penny Sale on Nov.15th, 2009 raised $2370. This money will be used to spay/neuter strays & feral cats and also to purchase catfood during the winter months. Thank you to everyone who helped make this our best fundraiser of the year!
Who We Are
We are a small group of concerned citizens who feed, trap, spay & neuter feral & stray cats at two wharves in the Municipality of Clare located in Digby County, Nova Scotia.
We try to find homes for tame strays & kittens that are too often dumped on the wharves where the colonies are located.
We don't have a shelter and can only take in cats if we have space for them in our foster homes. If you would like to help foster cats, we would greatly appreciate your help!
Adopting
These cats face many hardships living on the wharves. Most of the kittens don't survive more than a year which is why we try to find homes for as many as possible. We charge a $50 donation for friendly adult strays & kittens to help cover their veterinary cost. Each cat's vet bill can be $150-$250. Each cat is vet-checked, leukemia tested, vaccinated & dewormed.
