TLC Animal Shelter
Our featured Pet...
Peggy
Peggy is placid and affectionate, very clean in her habits and
walks well on the leash. She is a very easy dog and would suit
a retired couple. Because of her love of food, a controlled diet and
daily walk are an important part of Peggy's care.
News
Can't adopt? - why not Sponsor. For as little as $5.00 a month you can become a sponsor, and we'll send you a photo and monthly update of how your pet is doing. There is always the possibility that your chosen animal will get adopted, in which case we'll let you know right way so that you can decide who else you would like to sponsor. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, just call us at the shelter and we'll send you a form to fill out.

Who We Are
The TLC Animal Shelter was established in 1994 by a small group of volunteers dedicated to saving homeless and abused animals. Today, the shelter is still going strong, surviving purely on donations and fund raising events, with no government funding of any sort.
Adopting a friend
We are always sad to say goodbye to our much loved animals, but our main aim is to see them happily settled in the just the right home of their own. All our dogs and cats are spayed or neutered and fully vetted before they are put up for adoption. We do not negotiate long distance adoptions over the internet. We feel it is important that you meet your chosen animal at the shelter to get to know each other before a final decision is made. If you have any queries about adoption please call the shelter and talk to Dorothy Andrews.
KITTENS, KITTENS, KITTENS
We are full to the rafters with abandoned kittens, some with their mothers, some orphaned. If anyone is interested in adopting a kitten, or providing a foster home, PLEASEgive us a call or send us an email.
Come Visit Us!
We welcome visitors at any time, although it is best between 11.00 am and 2pm, (7 days a week). To get to the shelter, take the road to Digby Neck off the 101 Highway just West of Digby. You'll see a sign at the turn off. Follow the road for about 3 km and we're on the right hand side.
