Who We Are...

Rottweiler Rescue of Southern New Mexico, Inc. was founded to ensure the safety, well being and re-homing of Rottweilers who have become lost, abandoned or unwanted. We provide housing, medical care (including spaying and neutering, micro chipping, heartworm testing), training and love to those dogs waiting for their forever homes. Our continuing goal is public education on the proper care, training, feeding and humane treatment of this magnificent breed. Our Board of Directors is comprised of caring, responsible animal lovers whose main focus is finding the right home for the right dog.

RRSNM is a small rescue and therefore we are always thankful for any and all monetary donations as well as various dog related items. Foster homes are also needed. Please contact us if you would like to contribute to helping our dogs during their transition into their forever homes.

Adopting a friend...

We require an adoption application, home check and adoption contract prior to placing one of our dogs. This procedure helps assure the dog will be able to find his lifetime home and won't have to go through the trauma of being moved repeatedly. All dogs are spayed or neutered, micro chipped, heartworm tested and given age appropriate vaccinations prior to placement. Due to the high cost of veterinary services our adoption fees start at $250.00 to help cover a portion of these expenses.

While many of our dogs come from the southern part of the state, we will adopt to good homes throughout New Mexico, or out of state, when a home check and transportation can be arranged. Our main objective is to find loving permanent homes.
