Coda
My name is Coda and I am about three years old. I am an American Eskimo mix and I weigh about 35 pounds. I am about 14 inches tall at the shoulder. I am a friendly guy and I am very well behaved. I like other dogs and kids, but have not been around cats while here at the shelter. I am NEUTERED, HOUSETRAINED, and have a MICRO CHIP!!! I prefer to be an indoor dog, but I don't mind going outside too. I would love to go for walks and play at the park with you. I would be so grateful for a loving and permanent home!! I am just waiting for you to stop by and make me the newest member of your family!! Take me home with you today!! Adoption fee is $50.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption fee is $50. This fee includes rabies shot (if the animal doesn't have it already), a city/county license, and $25 towards the cost of spaying or neutering your new friend. The Deming Animal Guardians provides a 20% discount toward the cost of sterilization as well. To receive a certificate for this, please call (505)546-3824. Our local veterinarian at the Deming Animal Clinic can do the spay or neuter. The cost for the surgery with your 20% discount from the Guardians, not including the $50 adoption fee, is approximately $45 for a female animal and $30 for a male animal. You are looking at a total out of pocket expense of about $80 to adopt a male animal and about $95 to adopt a female animal. This is a small price to pay, considering you have just made a best friend for life!!
FREE Pet Insurance
All animals that are adopted from the Deming Animal Shelter are provided with two months of ShelterCare pet health insurance FREE OF CHARGE, courtesy of Petfinder.com. This health insurance for your newly adopted pet is specifically designed to cover the following illnesses and accidents which may be common to homeless pets: kennel cough, intestinal parasites, ear infections, sarcoptic and demodectic mange & parvovirus, as well as foreign body ingestion removal, motor vehicle accidents, fractures & poison ingestion. This very special gift is available to adopters exclusively through Petfinder.com member-shelters and rescue groups. Petfinder.com has pre-paid for the policy, so you adopters are not obligated to pay anything. We simply call to activate the coverage which will continue for 60 days and then automatically stop unless you choose to either extend it or upgrade.

We have a very high population of homeless and neglected dogs in our town, so unfortunately we end up having to euthanize many adoptable animals. ***PLEASE*** hurry in to see us, because we have many GREAT animals up for adoption and in need of a permanent, loving home.
