The featured pet of this month is none other than our gentle giant, Bullet. What a lovel!!! He's a large shepherd mix and loves loves loves people. He will tolerate and get along with cats and gets along with most dogs.
He really is the perfect dog, I had him at the park the last week and we both just chilled out in the shade and watched the joggers go by. When someone ventured over he definitely elicited petting from all willing participants. The more love and attention for this big guy the better!!
Have small children?? Bullet is definitely the dog for you!!
He doesn't need a big yard to run, or a ton of exercise. A brief walk or two a day and a comfy couch will do. Oh and his favorite treat....low salt turkey.

Along with all of our wonderful pups, bring the kiddies to see the peacocks and wolves. I'm also pretty sure we have a few kitties of our own running around, winding the dogs up good and tight!
We also have Bruce, the one eyed guard dog who is a trained police dog....Not for adoption. He belongs to the owner and we (meaning I) watch him through his gated enclosure. I know my limitations but what a sight to watch!!
UPDATE ON BRUCE: I now walk into his enclosure and let him "throw" the ball at me. I've even petted him on his back as he ran by, ball in mouth taunting me to take it. Again, I know my limitations. :)
Who We Are
Ozark Acres is pending 501c German Shepherd and Wolf rescue, although we will care for more than the Shepherds and Wolves.
Located in Florence NJ we sit on 20 acres along with the florist and liquor store we have the kennels in the back.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption procedure is very simple.
1) you come to meet the dog your interested in
2) fill out an application
3) we do a home inspection and you fill out the contract
4) if all goes well and everyone gets along we take the pup to the vet for a final checkup, bathe them up and on the day of adoption, I will come to your house to work with you in adapting to your new pet
5) we make appts for a couple follow up visits
