"CANDY" Female, 5 years old. Why has Candy been with us so long? We honestly dont know! This sweet, affectionate girl is longing for someone to love her and will give you unconditional love right back! Candy was abandoned in an apartment when her owners moved. She is gentle, quiet and a real snuggle-puss! With such a wonderful personality that adjusts to any situation without alarm, you cant go wrong with this beauty. Need a companion, but done with the humans??? Candy is the girl for you!! Since shes the ultimate lap cat she would do best as your only BFF (best feline friend!) but another cat her age would also be fine too. You can see it in her eyes...she's waiting for YOU! This cat is FELV/FIV/HW tested negative, altered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed and Frontline for fleas. Who We Are
We are a small grassroots rescue group with limited intake space and limited finances. We do not have a shelter and must rely 100% on foster homes and your donations. If you need to rehome a pet please email us at patsyspetresq@aol.com with as much information as you can give (ie-age,sex,color,why you need to surrender, what town you live in, where you got the pet from, etc) so that we may try to assist you. A surrender fee will be required to defray the costs of medical attention and care given. All animals placed up for adoption will be seen by a NJ licensed vet, vaccinated, tested for FELV/FIV or Heartworm/Lyme, wormed, deflead, spayed/neutered and microchipped. An adoption fee is required.
WHAT IS A RESCUE GROUP?
We are a rescue organization, not a shelter. A rescue organization is a private group of people who volunteer and work diligently for the good of the animals they love. Rescue organizations, such as ours, do not have shelter environments. We rely 100% on donations to help these animals in need. When you contact a rescue organization you are contacting a group of volunteering individuals who has no governing responsibility to be an immediate "fix" for animal related problems, however, we try to help as many people and their animal related problems as possible. Please be sensitive to the fact that our rescue volunteers also have lives and animals of their own to care for. We may not reply immediately, but it is not because we do not care about your situation. As much as our volunteers wish we could help everyone, we cannot save the world...just a very small part if it. If you need immediate help, please contact your local animal shelter, animal control officer, or police department. Our rescue organization does not do wildlife. If you have a wildlife emergency, please contact your local police department or animal control officer.
Adopting a friend
The first step in our adoption process is to complete a pre-adoption application which can be found at www.patsyspetstop.com, click on 'adoption/services' and go to the tab that says "pre-adoption application" and complete the form. After our review, a volunteer will contact you to discuss further. We require an adoption fee. This fee does not in any way reflect a profit, but rather will help defray the cost of medical attention and allow us to continue our rescue efforts. All of our animals are fully vetted prior to adoption. All adoptable animals will be vetted, vaccinated, altered, micro chipped, dewormed and deflead.
