We consist of a small board of directors (4) and a team of about 20 people who help on a daily basis. Each is a volunteer, not one person is paid for her services to PMR, other than our accountant and lawyer.
Our rescuers and Board members and Foster Mom's are the backbone of PMR. Without their dedication to these dogs, all would be lost.
They work, from their own homes, helping and loving back to health puppymill dogs who have been dumped by puppy millers who no longer have any use for them.
We have come a long way and are very grateful to each and every person who has given of themselves to help over 2000 of these dogs get a wonderful forever home.
For the ones who cannot speak for themselves, I thank you all for your loyalty and support.
Sincerely, Jean Kenney, Founder PuppymillRescue
Adopting a friend
PLEASE NOTE WE DO ADOPT OUT OF STATE BUT IF YOU ARE APPROVED TO ADOPT A DOG OUT OF STATE YOU MUST DRIVE
OR FLY TO GET THAT DOG AT YOUR OWN EXPENSE
Our adoption process is a three part process.
1) You must fill out an application (if you do not have a vet reference please do not apply). After we recieve your applicaiton we will first do a vet check. If you do not have an excellent vet reference we will go no further. Also we do not adopt to homes with young children
2) If your vet reference was excellent we will then set up a phone interview with you and also get you in touch with the foster parent of the pet you are interested in adopting
3) Finally you will have a homevisit and all information will be presented to the Board of Directors of PMR to be voted on for approval. Upon receipt of your application you will hear from us within 2 weeks either way, that is if you are rejected or being considered.
** note.. We do not adopt to home with young children under the
age of 10.
Our adoption donation requested is from $200 to $500 depending on
the age of the dog and the vet bills incurred. Please note
we do not ship our dogs.
