News

We need your help now. Cats start breeding in January and February so you need to spay them now. The surrounding towns in our immediate area do not have any animal SHELTERs. Cats are trapped or picked up and held for 7 days in a room at a local vets office. If they are NOT CLAIMED in 7 days they are put down. Ferals are trapped and put down ASAP. It is a very INEXPENSIVE ANIMAL CONTROL POLICY in an area that could afford to do better. We believe our animals DESERVE BETTER. We would like to help people do the TRAP/ NEUTER/RETURN program from Alley Cat Allies but need funds. Please help us to stop the antiquated policies. The Borough of FLEMINGTON has adopted TNR and we say KUDO'S to all of you in Flemington BOROUGH for your forward thinking and kindness to Animals. IF you would like to be part of the Solution for Compassion please send your donations to Catnip Friends PO Box 189 Ringoes, NJ 08551. We are a 501 3C non profit and it will allow us to Spay or Neuter a cat. Together we can make a huge difference in the lives of outdoor cats. We are looking for some good Barn Homes for some of our shy cats. They are all spayed and neutered and up to date on shots. If interested call Buff at (908)284-0917 The only way to stop the needless deaths of 5,000,000 animals a year is to stop overpopulation; and the only way to stop pet overpopulation is through spay/neuter. It may sound like a simple solution, but the road to reaching this goal is still long and steep. By understanding the vital importance of spay/neuter and its impact on the overpopulation problem, you can help to make a difference. Please urge your family, friends and co-workers to also do the right thing and SPAY/NEUTER their pets. Together, we can stop the needless destruction of innocent animals

Who We Are

We are a small group of individuals who provide TNR services in our local community and help place the kittens that we find into their forever homes. The cats and kittens are fostered in our homes and we are always looking for more volunteers if you would like to join us. We also care for all the cats that we spay and neuter and always need cat food and people to help us feed them if you are interested. We have multiple colonies in Hunterdon County that need food 365 days a year. It's a lot of kitty food. Please help us feed them by donating cat food.. Food can be dropped off in our decorated bin at Flemington Global AG by the register any day of the week from 8am until 5pm. WE GREATLY appreciate it.! You can purchase it there or bring it in from another source. We have over 10 feral cat colonies in our care. Anything you can do to help the cats is appreciated. They need everything from cat litter, food, donations for medical treatment and toys. .

Adopting a friend

We require an application be completed and a vet reference provided. Please give us a couple of days to get back to you as we are all volunteers. We have several kittens in foster homes right now so keep checking back with us if you are looking for a particular breed or color.
