JAKE
DUNCAN
Both Jake and Duncan have already found new homes and are no longer available for adoption. But check out our other adoptable critters.
February 7 is fast approaching and that means it will be time for the colossal clash of the titans. No we're not talking about the Super Bowl extravaganza but rather Animal Planet's PUPPY BOWL VI!!! Tune in to watch two of All Star's recent adoptees compete with other pups from all over the country in the 2 hour contest. You will see skirmishes over toy footballs, action shots with the underneath water bowl cam and even puppy personal fouls (Duncan had two). Sixty rescue pups were used to film the entire match (altho only a few of them are on the field at any one time). So tune in or set your TiVos to catch Jake zipping around the field at a million miles an hour or Duncan score a puppy TD! And stay tuned for the always entertaining kitten halftime show. They are both adopted and very much loved in their new homes but they sure had a blast that day down in Maryland at the Discovery Headquarters! And for the record - so did we!!!

In February of 2008 we were notified that there was a Rottie dog running the streets of Elizabeth with a horribly mangled leg. We made it our mission to find this guy and went out on several excursions to try and find him to bring him in. Although we had several sightings, we were never able to grab the guy. He always eluded us and our attempts to capture him. After two years of living on the streets, Trooper was finally apprehended and brought to the Elizabeth pound. As soon as we found out he was there, we went down and got him to our vet. As expected, the damaged leg is beyond repair and Trooper will need expensive surgery to amputate the useless limb. But as you can see in his photo, he turned out to be an angel and is very grateful to be given a 2nd chance. PLEASE, if you are able to help out with a donation towards his care it would be most appreciated. All PayPal contributions will be put towards Trooper's expenses (you can use the button above to make a donation). Right now he is resting comfortable up at Elizabeth Ann Kennels in Stirling but will be transferred to a foster home after his surgery where he will get the medical and mental care he so very much needs.
We will have some of our cuddly canines at Pet Valu in the Kings Shopping Center at 300 South Ave., Garwood, NJ. Come down and see our pups along with some friends from Companion Critters of Clark for our adoption events. Our hours are from 11:30 AM until 2:30 PM. Our next adoption event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb 13 but as always during the winter - it is weather permitting.
If you are interested in a particular animal, we recommend you send us an online application in advance as we do not release animals at our adoption events unless we have your approved application on file and such arrangements have been made.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE PET VALU STORE FOR MORE INFORMATION! Pet Valu graciously allows us to use their space to hold adoption events and we do not want to burden their staff with inquiries intended for us.. They have no information on any of the animals we have for adoption. Please email us with any questions you might have.
