Spring is just around the corner and SAVE will be in desperate need of foster homes! If you can open your heart and your home to an animal in need please let us know. Who We Are
S.A.V.E. is a non-profit organization serving the Jersey Shore Ocean Co. area. Our main focus is to help support The Toms River Township Animal Facility. We will also help any shore animal in need if possible.
Our group does many fundraising activities including, tagging, flea markets/yard sales, bake sales, charity dinners, auctions, raffles and dances. We are open to all fundraising activities suggested to us. We attend many events and fairs to educate the public on maintaining a healthy and happy pet by supplying advice, literature and important contact numbers needed for assistance, as well as information on adoptions and volunteering.
With your support of S.A.V.E. we can hopefully rescue and save more animals. The more time we have with them, will give us a better chance to either reunite them with their families or help them find a loving home. The least we can do is make their stay at the shelter a safe, warm and caring experience. Our Goal is to ensure these loving and forgiving animals have a healthy and happy life.

Adopting a friend
You must be 21 yrs old.
All potential adoptors must fill out an application.
The adoption fee for a cat is $20.00. All fees are acceptable in cash, check, or money order (NO credit cards accepted).
If the Animal is not spayed/neuterd at time of adoption the adoption papers enable owner to use State Spay Program (we will provide a list of participating Vets) for $20.00.
It is at S.A.V.E.'s discretion to conduct a home visit.
S.A.V.E. has the right to reclaim an animal if the adoptor falsified any information on their application.
All our animals are UTD on vaccinations and tested for FIV/LEUK.
S.A.V.E reserves the right to follow up on the progress of the adoption.
If for any reason you are unable to keep this animal S.A.V.E. requests the animal be returned to them.

Our main focus is to help the Toms River Township Animal Shelter animals and local animals in need when possible.
Our goal is to assure every animal adopted out is healthy and happy. Since The Toms River Shelter is a municipally owned facility, funds are very limited and therefore we formed S.A.V.E. Even though all the animals adopted from S.A.V.E. and the Toms River Shelter are included in the State Spay Program, slots are limited and ran quarterly. Because of this, many animals fall between the cracks. That is where S.A.V.E steps in and provides medical care, vaccinations, testing and altering to make sure all the animal's are well taken care and to avoid future medical problems and unwanted litters. This can be very costly and with the constant need, can be overwhelming. Therefore we need your help.
