PRISCILLAPRISCILLA is a quiet cat who is 3 years old and front paw declawed. She had a home once...her and Elvis, but they were both dumped at a shelter. She took the whole ordeal rather hard and found it difficult to adjust to her new situation. Elvis did better and eventually Priscilla saw no point in him waiting around for her anymore she she said good-bye and let him go to a new home. It was Heartbreak Hotel all over for her. Priscilla thinks she might be ready to get on with her life without Elvis and move on to a new home. She hopes somebody reads about her and gives her a chance to adjust and be happy again. FOSTER HOMES NEEDED - MSCR always has mother cats and kittens who are in need of a foster home for a month or two. If you can help, please send an e-mail to Catfreak09@cs.com.
INDOOR/OUTDOOR HOMES NEEDED - We need homes for cats who insist on being indoor/outdoor. They won't have it any other way and their happiness depends on it. If you would like to give one a home, please send an e-mail to Catfreak09@cs.com.
BARN HOMES NEEDED - Do you have a barn or an outdoor sheltered area that could use a cat? We have one for you! These cats don't do well indoors, and may be somewhat afraid of people. However, they will make your barn their home. Please send an e-mail for more information to Catfreak09@cs.com and SAVE A LIFE.
Who We Are
Meadow's Spirit Cat Rescue (MSCR) was established in January 2003 by Kim Kean, founder and president. It is named after a beautiful, black cat named Meadow who was homeless and lost her life at a shelter.
MSCR is made up entirely of volunteers and has one goal - to save the lives of cats. Hopeless cases are given hope and cats doomed at shelters are rescued and new homes found - regardless of how long it takes.
If you would like to help us, there are several ways you can do this:
* Sponsorship - for $240 a year you can sponsor one of our non-adoptable cats. We have many cats who have Feline Leukemia (FELV) who were rescued from a shelter and are hard to adopt. We also have other cats who may be medically challenged or just too shy to move on. This money is used to offset the cost of food and medical costs for a specific cat. Contact us for a list of cats to choose from or visit our website at MSCRcats.org.
* Buddy/Pal - for $15 a month you can be a buddy/pal of one of our adoptable cats waiting for a home. This money is used to help with the cost of caring for this cat while in our care.
* Petsmart Cage Sponsorship - for a one time donation of $25 you can sponsor one of our cages at Petsmart in Mays Landing where some of our cats are located. A sponsorship card is made and hung on "your" cage for the month. You have the satisfaction of knowing you are helping a cat who is waiting patiently for a new home. Check out our "Adoptable Pet List" to see who is at Petsmart right now. As the cats are adopted, "your" cage is filled with a new cat. You can sponsor a cage in honor of someone special or in memory of someone equally special. Just let us know who it is for and the details. We take care of the rest. You will receive the card in the mail afterwards or we can send it to someone for you.

Adopting a friend

MSCRcats.org and click on "Adoption Info" on the left side.
An application must be completed and approved by a MSCR representative. The donation to adopt a cat is $75.00. Purebreeds and exotics are $100.00. This includes spay/neutering, vaccinations, de-worming, microchipping when available and FELV/FIV test. Special needs cats such as FIV positive may be an additional $20 which covers our cost for the vitamin/mineral and lysine supplement which is sent home with the cat. Homeowners need proof such as a deed, tax bill or mortgage payment book. Renters need a lease clearly indicating cats are welcome or a letter from the landlord including their name and phone number. A valid driver's license is also needed. Additional information may be required at the discretion of the MSCR representative.
Come Visit Us!
Our adoptable cats are either in foster care or housed at the Luv-a-Pet Adoption Center at the Petsmart Store in Mays Landing, NJ. Adoption hours there are Mon. to Fri. 6 to 9pm. Sat. from 11am to 1:30pm and 6 to 9pm and Sun. from noon to 4pm. Cats currently in foster care can be seen by appointment. Send us an e-mail and you will be contacted ASAP.
