| Who We Are Wings of Hope prides itself on
finding loving, experienced adoptive homes for unwanted, abused,
neglected and abandoned exotics. We believe that all animals deserve
the highest quality care, love and respect, and that owners should have
access to the most current bird information possible. Unwanted exotics
are accepted at WOH, and in turn are adopted out to qualified
applicants.
We are a nonprofit, volunteer organization established in 2000 that is dedicated to assisting owners in finding new, loving homes for their animals when they can no longer care for them. We are a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, as recognized by the IRS. Please be advised that Wings of Hope utilizes a network of private foster homes for our birds. In order to see a bird you may be interested in, you must have an approved application on file. If you are ready to apply now, you can access the online version now. Once that is received, reviewed, and approved, you can make an appointment with the respective foster home to see the animal of your choosing. We do NOT ship our birds. If you are interested in a bird we have in our program, you must make arrangements to come see the bird prior to adoption. WE do NOT offer a delivery service of any kind. Adopting One Of Our FriendsWe are bursting at the seams with all kinds of birds! We have a variety of birds ready and patiently waiting for their loving, longtime homes. Our birds are disease tested and come with a cage, toys, and a small supply of food so that your bird can eat the same food that he or she did in their foster home. This helps to smooth your bird's transition into their new home. If you are interested in adopting one of our birds, you can fill out an online adoption application or use the printable adoption application and return it to us for processing. Would you like to know more about our Adoption Program? Please note that NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE PROCESSED without the application fee. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact us at (732) 833 - 7825 and our hotline volunteer will return your call within 24 - 48 hours. Please be advised that Wings of Hope does not operate on a first come, first served basis. We attempt to make the best match for both the bird and new owner. Some birds may require more than one visit before an adoption is approved. If you are offered 3 suitable birds, per your adoption application, and deny all, your application will be dead-filed. |

Call for Foster HomesOpen your heart and home to an
animal in need and provide daily care, love, and security to them at an
often difficult time in their life until a suitable adoptive family is
found. This is one of the MOST important areas of rescue, and we ALWAYS
need LOTS of foster homes. The more qualified foster homes we have, the
more birds we can help.
Be part of a team that has 5 members certified by PIJAC and a team that prides ourselves on keeping current and always learning all we can about parrots and birds. Learn more about birds by fostering and hands on care and know that the rest of the team is ALWAYS here if you have any questions or problems. On behalf of everyone at WOH-NJ, thanks for learning more about volunteering with us. If you’d like to volunteer with us, we’d love to have you! You may fill out our Wings of Hope NJ Member & Application Online Form, or if you'd like you may print one and mail or fax it to us. |

Waiting Lists & Pre-approvalWe ask you to keep in mind that
many birds never appear on this page, but are placed quickly upon the
return of their bloodwork. Our prescreened, preapproved homes in
waiting make it possible for us to place incoming birds into
appropriate homes with very little fuss. If you wish to be considered
as a “pre-approved” potential home for incoming
birds, you can fill out
an adoption application and have your adoption interview and if all
goes well there, we will have everything in place so that when a bird
who is appropriate for your home arrives, it is simply a matter of you
meeting the bird and the bird can be placed with you. This is the very
best method for us to use, allowing us to keep our adoption fees low
and allowing us to have lots of wonderful home choices for the birds
who come to us.
