Pogo is a 8 month old bundle of joy. He is all white
with the greatest ears on earth. His ears are straight
up with tips bent down and spots of gray. Everybody
loves Pogo. This precious pup is deaf but he has a name
in sign language. If you put your thumbs in your ears
and wiggle all of your remaining fingers that is his
name. He learns basic commands with hand signals, like
all other dogs. Pogo is currently learning his name in
sign, sit, release, down, and come. For more information

I've been at SRAS over a year - can I
come home with you?
Please don't confuse me with that wonderful Lil Kitty
who was just adopted from SRAS after living there for
over a year and a half. But since she was so
lucky, that makes me the shelter's longest resident.
Let me introduce myself. I am Ms. Kitty. Ms. mind
you, as I am a single modern lady. I am independent when
it comes to other cats - I can take 'em or leave 'em,
but mostly prefer to leave 'em. I do, on the other hand,
love human companionship. Just brush my fur and I'm all
yours. I like to keep neat and clean. I am a 'large'
lady. Kind of big boned if you know what I mean. But a
'catkins' diet does me a lot of good. I just need to get
out and about a bit so I can get more exercise. How
about at your place? Do you have some room for me to
roam, maybe some hallways or stairs to climb? I love
catnip toys too. And a nice cushion or blankie at nap
time. Oh & don't forget the window for bird watching.
Ooops sorry. I hope I don't have too may requirements.
But remember, I'm special and if you would like to adopt
me, you'll be extra special to me!

Since the summer months, we've been overflowing
with cats and kittens and the shelter can use foster
help almost on a constant basis. The need is urgent, so
If you have a small spare room or any space that you
could temporarily care for a litter, an adult, or a cat
who has to recover from some sniffles, please contact
us! The cats will do better in a home environment and be
ready for adoption faster than wallowing in a cage
waiting for a space to open up in the adoption room. It
can be a very rewarding experience. If you would like to
foster please call 908-725-0308 or email srasmanager@aol.com
