PURRS 'N PUPS is a volunteer animal rescue group licensed under the 501c3 nonprofit charitable organization status. We are totally dedicated to helping stray, unwanted, abandoned, and homeless pets find permanent loving homes. We do not own a shelter and rely solely on our wonderful volunteer foster homes who provide temporary care, shelter, and love for our pets until they find their "forever" homes.
Adopt a Friend
Adopting through our rescue group is very simple...
Please be advised we try our best to match the right animal with the appropriate forever family and we have certain rules and regulations we must abide by. ALSO, many times applications are submitted towards the end of the week. Please remember that we must still perform our necessary review on each and every application, no mater when they are submitted. We do not take any shortcuts.Please consider that these things take time, as it is a 15-20 year commitment.Therefore, having said that, please do not think that if you walk in on a pet adoption day (and submit an application either that day or only a few days prior) that you will be assured to go home with a pet the same day!!! However, printing your online application and bringing it with you, may be of some help and saves time at the store.
REMEMBER! If you have any questions, please DO NOT call the store as they will not have the answers you are looking for!!!!
NOTE: If an animal has 'HOLD' Next to his/her name that animal is NO LONGER accepting applications at this current time and is expected to go home with the family who is lined up to meet him/her the following weekend. If for some reason the adoption does not go through that the animal will be re-posted on Sunday evening and will be available again the following weekend for adoption. Please do not put in an application requesting to adopt an animal with HOLD next to its name, or it will be deleted.
1. Complete an Online Adoption Application so we can learn about you and match the animal to your home and lifestyle.
It only takes a few minutes, so do it now!
*Note - even if you are interested in more than one pet, you only need to submit ONE application!*
2. Once approved, you WILL be notified, and you will be able to adopt. We will then arrange a time/place to meet so your family can meet the new family friend
3. Discuss medical conditions/adoption fees & Terms of Contract.
4. Sign Contract/Pay adoption donation
5. Take adopted pet home and provide eternal love!
We also have a training video for those who would like to learn a little more and go the extra mile with their newly adopted friend! ...Ask one of our volunteers today how you can get your own video! click on the link below for more info.

Adoption Fees
NEW ADOPTION FEES AND PROCESS!
Dogs: Unaltered - $350, $50 of which is refunded when your pet is altered by 6 months of age or as directed. The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, dewormings, and spay/neuter certificate*.
Dogs: Altered - $300. Includes all age-appropriate vaccinations, microchipping, dewormings, heartworm testing, rabies vaccination and neuter or spay.
Cats: Unaltered - $120, $20 of which is refunded when your pet is altered, also includes age appropriate vaccinations and dewormings, and spay/neuter certificate*.
Cats: Altered - $100. Includes age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, Feline AIDS/Leukemia test, and spay or neuter
*We are now using Friends of Animals certificates for each of our adopters to have their animals spayed/neutered which will be included in our adoption fees. This will alleviate some of the financial stress when if becomes time for alteration in this economy.
