Our next adoption event will be at the Petco on Hooper Ave. in Toms River on Sunday, April 27th from Noon to 3:30 p.m. and Sunday, May 4th from Noon to 5:00 p.m.
If interested in adopting, you don't have to wait until our next adoption event, you can submit our on-line application and one of our volunteers will get back to you to tell you more about them. If you wait, it may be too late, they may already be placed in their new home.
We want to thank all of you who donated a Kuranda Bed to the Elizabeth Shelter. We are grateful for the 18 beds that have been donated. The dogs are happy not to have to lay on the cold, damp floors. Thank you again for helping to make their stay a little more comfortable.
DONATIONS GREATLY NEEDED
Donations greatly needed for Lilly Girl, she was a street dog in the Dominican Republic. She was found with a severely broken leg and taken to a local veterinarian who had no other option but to amputate her leg. Unfortunately, the veterinarian nor the rescue group were able to keep her and she was going to be released back into the streets. She is currently in a foster home where she is being treated for her amputation site, multiple skin abrasions, and Ehrlichia. This is a treatable disease which affects her blood cells. Although she is recovering well, she will need additional medical and surgical care. Please help us help Lilly recover and find a new home. Donations for her medical care fund can be made through PayPal (below). Lilly Girl loves people and is very sweet. If you are interested in adopting her please fill out our on-line application. No donation is ever too small.
Featured Pet of the Month
Aspen is about 1 year old. Both he and his sister Willow are Australian shepherds that were born both blind and deaf. They will need an experienced home and one with lots of patience and love. Aspen is a playful pup who can play 24/7, so a home with another playful pup would be great. Willow would probably do better in a home as the only dog. Please fill out an application so you can meet our beautiful Aussies.
