Lumpy was named by a young girl in our group who named their Mom Kanga and her sister Roo. (All from the Heffalump movie (DISNEY)). All have been adopted but Lumpy. She is looking for a Forever home. Rescued in a situation where she came with several other kittens that were different ages. All found near a busy street in Roselle Park. This adorable girl was scared at first, but has come a long way. She is now the most sweet, loving little one and truly adores playing, petting and cuddling. It's rewarding to see little one come so far. She loves other cats, love the dog we have and just adore being held and loved.

Hi, my name is Benny. I am a neutered male kitty born around June 25, 2007. My brother and I were rescued from a junkyard when I was about two months old. I am very easy going and mild mannered. I like to play and I love to be petted. I am a very handsome kitty, don't you agree? I love to play with other kitties. Some things you probably want to know about me: I am FIV/FELV negative and up to date on all of my shots. My brother and I are very close and would love to be adopted together but if you only have room for one of us, I'm sure Socks will understand. Every Saturday from 12 to 5PM & Most Sundays from 12 to 4PM, adoption days take place at Petco in Blue Star Shopping Center in Watchung, NJ.
Also in Petco in Gateway Mall in Sayerville on Rt 9. Each Saturday. 12 to 5pm.

Who We Are
SARA Inc. is a animal rescue and placement organization. We are a 501c(3) organization, so your donations are tax deductible. We are comprised of devoted volunteers, some with over thirty years of experience. We have a Board of Trustees and Officers who have hands-on knowledge of how to run an effective and efficient animal rescue organization. We are all actively involved and committed to helping as many cats and dogs as we can!
Our focus is cats and kittens. SARA's priority is to get as many rescued animals placed in good and caring homes. One of our main objectives is population control so we also manage feral colonies with a spay/neuter program.
We do not have a shelter. All our animals are fostered in homes and put on display at Petco in Blue Star Shopping Center in Watchung, NJ or Petco in Sayerville on Rt 9. When ready for adoption. AS OF JAN 8 - GREAT NEWS- TABBY'S PLACE VET FEELS CHANCE WILL REGAIN MOST IF NOT ALL OF HIS SIGHT IN TIME-
We want to take this space to thank everyone for the outpouring of LOVE for "Chance" the over 10 year old BLIND cat who was stuck in a basement for the last 10 years! He is saved, rescued and vetted. Chance is doing well. He is FIV/FELV negative, updated on shots, fixed and now safely in his new temporary home at "TABBY'S PLACE" in Ringoe's NJ. When Tabby's Place heard Chance's story, they called and asked if Chance could reside with them. There Chance will be taken care of & they will be able to see how well he gets along with other animals. We already know he does well with people.

"DONATION OF FOOD " Canned and dry cat food and litter is always appreciated as well as other items specified on our Wish List. These items can be handed to any of our official volunteers. Other arrangements for donations can be made by contacting the S.A.R.A. location near you.
At certain times of the year, S.A.R.A., Inc. also gathers donated items for garage sales as well as our ebay site.

Volunteer Your Time: Volunteers are always needed and very much welcome not only during our Pet Adoption Days on Saturdays, but also in the daily care of the cats and kittens being kept on display at Petco.
Volunteers are also needed for Petco in Old Bridge!
We have recently begun showing some of our cats and kittens at the Petco Gateway Shopping Center, on Rt. 9 in Old Bridge. We are in desperate need of capable volunteers to take one or two slots a week (mornings or evenings) to help with cage cleaning, feeding and caring for our cats and kittens. Please consider being part of a S.A.R.A.'s effort to place even more animals in good, stable homes. Contact Kathleen at 732-309-4089 (or e-mail SARACats@aol.com) if you can help in this area. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and have dependable transportation.
Foster Homes: Being a foster home is a fantastic experience. Foster homes are always needed to work with cats, kittens for both long and short term periods, depending on the needs of the animal to groom them into adoptable pets.
Be an Angel: Desperately needed are people with big hearts willing to take in a blood positive (feline aids) cat or kitten. Many of these live long, healthy lives. As a note, FIV cannot be transmitted to humans.
