Who We Are
Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats that would have been killed due to no fault of their own. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are fostered in homes. Some of the adult dogs are housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. Are you looking for a furry companion to add to your life? Could your home be the right home for one of these pets? We might have just the right companion to meet your needs. Feel free to email us at wagoninnrescue@yahoo.com for more information about one of our animals. To fill out an application, please go to www.wagoninnn.rescuegroups.org and under website features, clcik on forms/applications to fill out an adoption application. If you are interested in making a donation or checking out what is on our wish list, it's also on the website, www.wagoninn.rescuegroups.org.
Rescued animals
Rescued pups and sometimes adults all are in danger of being euthanized when they come under our care. Before being adopted out, they are updated on shots, heartworm tested(dogs), aids and leukemia tested(cats), neutered and wormed(if needed). They are also treated with frontline. Some are microchipped. The animals are evaluated to see what type of a home they would do best in, based on energy level, temperment, and training needed. Then we try to match them to the best possible home, that we feel would be appropriate for each companion. If for any reason, an adoption does not work out, or the adopter can no longer care for their companion, Wag On Inn requests that you return the animal to us for evaluation/rehoming or we will work with you to rehome the animal no matter how long the adopted companion has been living with you.
Foster Homes Wanted
Because the town said we are not zoned to house "pet dogs" we are now in search of foster homes to continue to save the lives of pups and dogs in needs. We do not have the facility to help with any new cats at this time either. If you think you might be interested in fostering, please contact us at wagoninnrescue@yahoo.com. Most fosters are short term. The average length of stay for your foster charges is a month. Some are shorter, some are longer. We will work with you to stay within your time frame. For foster homes, we supply everything you will need to care for your foster dog, including medical care, you supply the time and energy. If you are interested, please contact us.
Adopting a friend
Interested in adopting one of our pets? Email Kathy at wagoninnrescue@yahoo.com and mention that you are interested in ________and would like an online application. If you are looking for a friend, that doesn't have internet access, send an email with their phone number and we'll give them a call. Once we have your application, if your lifestyle might match that of the animal you are interested in, we can set up arrangements for a meeting. Adoption fee required.
Come Visit Us!
Wag On Inn is a group of foster homes, so appointments must be made before meeting the dogs or cats. If you would like to make an appointment, then ask for an application. Once we see you might be a good match for the dog or cat, then we will set up an appointment.
ADOPTION EVENTS: We will be at the Prince and the Pawper, in Cobblestone Village. West Park Ave. Ocean Township, NJ the last
Sat. of the month. We will have a few of our animals with us, and pictures of others.
