Friends of the Ocean County Animal Shelter is a nonprofit organization that assists our facility with the treatment of sick or injured animals. They also help to supply us with anything needed to better our shelter. If you would like to find out more about what they do, donate to our shelter, or read some of our success stories please visit their wesite at:

We are a county run facility and unfortunately become full very quickly. While looking through our website please pay special attention to our animals marked "URGENT". They are all extremely sweet animals, but we are just running out of cage space. These are the animals who have been at our facility the longest. Please help to rescue these animals and give them the home they deserve.
Dog of the Week
MEET RAVEN!
Raven is a 9 year old Husky mix who was surrendered to our shelter because his owner had no time for him. He's a sweet boy who's slowly adjusting to his new environment. Raven is said to be housebroken and good with other animals. He is also good with children. He is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped.
Cat of the Week
MEET SYN!
Syn is a 2 year old long hair who was surrendered to our shelter because his owner could no longer care for him. He's extremely affectionate and great with other animals. Syn loves attention and would make a great addition to any family. He is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped.
Our dogs and cats love to sleep on Kuranda Dog beds, but we don't have enough for everyone. We appreciate all of the large beds that have been donated, and we would love a few more in the 35 x 23 size for our smaller guys. Thank you again for all the wonderful donations. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price for one of our shelter pets to sleep in comfort, please
