PAWS has left the North Willow Street facility December 31, 2008 and the Township of Montclair has taken control of the shelter.
PAWS will continue as we have done for over 30 years -- continue as a nonprofit organization helping the homeless animals in our community. PAWS is looking to relocate to another facility, but until we do so, our animals have been placed in our foster network.
We will be relocating and will post the latest news here. We still need donations to continue to operate so please consider making a tax deductable contribution to PAWS.

PAWS-MONTCLAIR was founded 30 years ago. We are a non-profit
organization, with 501(c)3 status. PAWS is dedicated to finding
homes for the unwanted cats and dogs in our community. We are proud
to have had one of the highest adoption rates amongst the many animal
shelters in New Jersey.
We are supported solely by donations . 100% of all donations go directly to PAWS. NO fundraisers are ever paid.
To ensure our animals are placed in
good homes all applicants are thoroughly screened and we do follow-up
calls and visits. All adopted cats and dogs are given a 10 day health
guarantee, providing the adopter uses the veterinarian we select.
