River Valley Animal Protection League is located in scenic Charlestown NH, near the historical Connecticut River and Fort #4.
New members and volunteers are always welcomed. Meetings are held the first Thursday of each month at the Charlestown VFW and they are also listed on our webpage at: RiverValleyAPL.org. Join us from 7PM - 9PM.

Who We Are
River Valley APL is a non-profit organization located in Sullivan County in Southwest New Hampshire. The majority of our animals are in a foster home until they are adopted.
We are currently looking for a suitable site to build the Sullivan County’s first and only animal shelter.
Most of our staff has vast experience from working at various animal shelters. In addition, RVAPL has the first and only “Animal Crimes Unit” in NH history. The ACU staff has well over three decades of experience and it also has the only deputy sheriff Animal Cruelty Investigator and Prosecutor with over twenty years experience in the State. Since all our animals are in foster homes, visits are by appointment only AFTER an adoption application has been filled out and approved.
