ECHO'S FEATURED PET

This southern belle is a head turner. Haylee is approximately 2-3 years old and UTD on her shots & micro chipped and spayed. She is petite around 45 lbs and very smart. Haylee has learned basic obedience and walking correctly on lead within days. She will put up with being crated but prefers having the whole house to herself. Haylee has perfect manners in the home and is totally housebroken. This, for a sweet little girl who appears never to have been in a home before. At first, daily noises scared her to death but now her confidence is building. She may appear timid when first meeting her but that will quickly change once she knows you’re a friend. Her personality is quite laid back. Everyone who meets her just falls in love. Haylee loves children but would not due well in a noisy environment. A calm home would be her preference. But please no cats.

WHO WE ARE...

Founded in Cedar Lake, Indiana and operating nationally, Echo Dogs White Shepherd Rescue, Inc is comprised of a network of rescue volunteers who are dedicated to matching White Shepherds and White German Shepherds in need with loving families throughout the US and Canada. Our mission is to place homeless dogs into loving and permanent homes, to educate the public about the breed, promote responsible pet ownership, and to provide ongoing training support and advice to adopters after our dogs have been placed in their new homes. Echo Dogs White Shepherd Rescue, Inc is a 501(c)3 non-profit, foster home based organization. We do not operate a shelter. The temperment and behavior of each dog is carefully evaluated while they are in foster care so that we can match each dog with a home best suited to meet their particular needs. Dogs are also taught good house manners, given basic obedience skills, and socialized while in foster care.

ADOPTING A FRIEND...

We have a standard adoption fee of $250.00. This fee helps defray the cost of our out-of-pocket expenses (with the rising cost of veterinary care) to care for each dog with food, medical expenses, grooming, transport from shelters to foster homes, etc. It also ensures that you adopt a healthy, happy dog.

Our adoption process includes a thorough application submission, including vet reference, personal references and a home visit prior to placing any dog. All approved adoptions are finalized with a legal and binding contract.

Most of the dogs available for adoption through our organization are older puppies and adults. All of our dogs are current on vaccinations, treated for external and internal parasites, *tested* heartworm negative and on preventative, microchipped, and are spayed or neutered prior to placement in their new homes. Young puppies are occasionally available for adoption, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption NO EXCEPTIONS.

FOSTER HOMES NEEDED!

The dogs listed here are lucky enough to have another chance at a happy life because of the kindness and generosity of people willing to open their hearts and home to a dog in need. Sadly, there are many more dogs waiting in shelters or poor living conditions than there are foster homes. For many, time is short. Foster homes are always critically needed. We are always short of money in our medical funding for dogs with needs above the basic vetting that we give them. Some dogs need surgery or heartworm treatment, all being very costly.
