From her foster mom: 'I have been fostering a 9 year old(hard to believe) dachshund/chi mix since last monday when i picked her up in Connecticut. She weighs about 13 pounds. Her ears are the only thing that resemble a chi...she is all black and has been used as a breeder for all her life and was brought to a kill shelter because she had served her purpose for years, breeding every 6 months. She is the sweetest, most gentle and loving dog that deserves a forever home..She is house trained and is definitely a people person wanting love and attention but also obedient. She responds well to the name she has known for years. She walks well on a leash and just wants to prove what a good dog she is.She loves to snuggle on the sofa with me under a blanket and deserves a forever placement. She adjusted to my home wonderfully and the 2- 5 pound chi's she lives with and is definitely not the alfa female.She is so ready to have the stability of a forever home and would bring great joy to her new family. She is also crate trained.
