News

We have adoptable cats/kittens at Pawsitive Pet Nutrition, 60 Beech Street, Manchester, NH. Gail has been a great help finding wonderful homes for our kitties. Also visit our friends at Food for Pets, South Main St., Manchester.

Please join us Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a "Baby It's Cold Outside" adoption event at Pawsitive Pet Nutrition. We will have lots of cats and kittens of all shapes and sizes with us available for adoption. For pre-approval, an online application can be completed at www.animalallies.org.

Animal Allies is in need of barn homes!! All cats placed in barn homes will be altered and vaccinated and there will be no adoption fee (donations are happily accepted however). We typically send cats in pairs and we require that they be held in a crate for at least 3 weeks in the barn so that they can become acclimated to the area. We would be happy to provide instructions and supplies for holding cats. Please consider helping unsocialized/feral cats by providing a safe place for them to live!!! Call 603-228-6755 for more information or if you are able to help.

Who We Are

Animal Allies is an all volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to ending the needless suffering and exploitation of animals. We share a common respect and concern for all animals and oppose cruelty in any form, promoting animal welfare through humane education and community action.

Our primary focus is to end pet overpopulation. We work with existing low-cost spay neuter assistance programs and local veterinarians and provide financial assistance to individuals to have their animals altered. Our volunteers retrieve messages from the Spay Line (1-800-990-SPAY), a toll free message center sponsored by STOP (Solutions to Overpopulation of Pets). We advise pet owners in the State of New Hampshire of the best assistance programs available to them.

We also focus our efforts on feral cat colony management, employing the Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) philosophy. We have fully funded hundreds of spay/neuter surgeries for these cats and work on several colonies throughout the state of New Hampshire. After we assess, trap, neuter and board cats from a colony, we only return cats to areas that have a caregiver and adequate shelter. We also rescue, socialize, neuter and adopt out young ferals or strays from these colonies.

What We Need

Adopting a Friend

A completed adoption application is required in order to adopt an animal from Animal Allies. Volunteers will conduct a vet check to ensure that all of your existing pets are altered and up to date on vaccines. Also, if you rent, your landlord will be contacted to ensure that you are allowed to have pets. All animals that are adopted from Animal Allies will be altered and up to date on vaccines prior to adoption. You can complete an adoption application online by visiting www.animalallies.org.

Come Visit Us!

Animal Allies does not have a shelter facility. Animals available for adoption (typically kittens trapped in stray cat colonies) are cared for and nurtured in foster homes.
