Hossman is a beautiful fellow who is looking for his forever home. He is definitely a couch potato and would rather be on the couch or chair (someplace soft and comfy) than be on the floor. Hossman would prefer not to have a home with cats or very small dogs. He is a special hound who suffers from a seizure disorder, and is currently on medication that is controlling his seizures very well. This medication is not expensive so please do not let this disorder or need for medication distract your interest in this handsome boy. If you have lots of love to give and would like to give Hossman a forever home please contact us to set up an appointment to meet him!!

Interested in becoming a Foster Home?
The economy has not only been very difficult for people but also has had a major impact on the lives of our furry companions. Adoption groups have seen an influx of returns over the past couple of years for a variety of reasons, most not even related to the pet itself. GPA-CNHC is always looking for foster homes and we too have had our share of returns over the past year or so. If you are interested in greyhounds, and would like to help by fostering, please contact our foster coordinator at the e-mail link at the bottom of the page
Who We Are:Greyhound Pets of America - Central NH Chapter is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to finding responsible and loving homes for greyhounds that have failed to qualify or retired from racing. GPA-CNHC was established in 1988, originally serving central NH. We now do placements throughout NH and have also found homes for several greyhounds in MA, VT and ME. Our dedicated volunteers offer much of their spare time to care for these greyhounds and to assure the best placement possible. GPA-CNHC is just one chapter of a National GPA organization,

Adopting a friend
Our adoption process is very simple, but thorough. Basic requirements are completion of an adoption application and a home visit by one of our qualified placement representatives. Prior to placement we do our best to work with the prospective adopter to make sure their future greyhound companion will be suitable for their household needs and environment. We also encourage potential adopters to visit our open house to meet the available dogs and speak with their foster parents and the adoption coordinator.
If you are interested in adopting one of these loving and gentle creatures, you may contact us directly at 1-888-507-9597 (Northern New England), 1-800-366-1472 (National Referral -Mass or elsewhere) or contact us via e-mail. You can also visit our main website at, www.GPA-CNHC.org to print an application. Simply print, complete and mail. An adoption representative will contact you shortly after the application is received. Please be patient as our main website is under renovation. It should be back up and running very soon
About Our Program:GPA-CNHC is a foster home adoption program. Each greyhound is placed into a regular home, often times with other greyhounds, dogs or cats. The foster home is responsible for teaching socialization skills, household manners, basic training, housebreaking and any other issues that may arise. Our foster program is also an important key to a successful placement as the foster homes are able to offer the best assessment of each dog's personality and behavior. This allows us to find the best match in an adoptive home.
All greyhounds that enter our program received veterinary care prior to fostering and adoption. The dogs are spayed/neutered; receive a dental cleaning, updated on all shots, tested for heartworm, tick-borne diseases, and worms. All necessary medical care and follow-up is provided as needed for the health of the dog.
