Our pups come and go so quickly that it is hard to pick just one to spotlight. We work very hard to keep our adoptable pet list on Petfinder up-to-date. If you have any questions, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
Who We Are
Canine Commitment of New England is a group of volunteers who work with hero rescuers in southern, high-kill states. We bring puppies up from the south that would otherwise be euthanized, vet them, temperament test them, and find them loving homes here in New England. We work with partners in the south who also post available dogs and puppies on our Petfinder site. All pups are able to be transported to New England via large transport companies who come each and every week to NH. (Transport fees are included in adoption fees, except where otherwise noted.)
We have a central location in New Boston, NH (no longer in Bedford) that is a LICENSED ANIMAL SHELTER in the state of NH. We obey all laws regarding the import of dogs from other states, and go beyond the minimum required standards to ensure happy, healthy puppies.
Thank you for your interest in our program and thank you for looking for a rescue dog!
Canine Commitment NH wishes to thank ALL its volunteer foster homes for making the journey from unwanted, dumped dog to beloved pet!!!
Adopting a friend
Our process includes an application with references, reference checks, a home visit for dogs coming from Pickett Paws in TN (per their policy), and collection of adoption/transport fees which range anywhere from $350 -$475... but this is simply a guideline. Often, specific fees are listed with the pet's listing or can be obtained once you request an application.
All the dogs we sponsor arrive with vet paperwork, legal travel papers, and an earned health certificate. At times, these papers may need to be e-mailed to you or faxed to you, although every effort is made to have originals ready for you at pick-up time.
ADOPT, NEVER SHOP. Your rescued dog will love you for it.
