Located in Enfield, NH, the Upper Valley Humane Society is compassionately connecting people and pets. Every year, UVHS serves more than 3,000 pets and families in over 100 communities across New Hampshire and Vermont.
Our Animal Care Center takes in about 1,000 homeless pets each year, including stray, surrendered, abused and/or neglected pets. We care for a wide variety of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, birds and other small animals. Your new best friend may be among them!

UVHS strives to ensure a successful lifeling relationship between each adopted pet and their new family. Working together with you helps us find a great match and the ideal pet for your home.
To complete an adoption, we ask that all members of the adoptive household meet the new pet...so that all family members welcome and are compatible with the new pet.

Our Shelter/Animal Care Center is open 11am-7pm Wednesday and 11am-4pm Thursday thru Sunday. The Animal Care Center is closed Mondays and Tuesdays.We are located on Old Route 10 in Enfield, NH, just a few miles south of Lebanon, NH. Take Interstate 89 to Exit 15, then go southeast on Old Route 10 about 1 mile (if you are heading south on I-89, take a right off the ramp; if you are heading north on I-89, take a left off the ramp).
