We have chosen to use Patented Kuranda Dog Beds because
they are durable, chew proof and easy to clean. If you would like
to donate a bed to us, click here.
Who We Are
We are a small dedicated group of people who network to rescue Schnauzers of all types. Working with other rescues and shelters across Nebraska and in the surrounding states, we try to prevent animals from dieing needlessly. We do our upmost to educate people on the importance of altering their companion animals to control pet overpopulation. Other breeds/mixed breed dogs in immediate danger are accepted into the program when an appropriate foster home is available. We try very hard to find rescue for dogs that we do not have room for. All dogs accepted into our foster program are provided a loving indoor home environment, nutritional food, water, and exercise. They are spay/neutered, brought up to date on vaccinations, Heart worm checked and microchipped prior to being placed for adoption. If the dog is too young to be altered, arrangements are made with a Veterinarian to provide surgery at a later date. THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTION. To request an application, click on the NSN email link at the bottom of this page. ALL rescued animals must be altered.
Adopting a rescue friend
It is best to exercise patience when applying for a rescue dog. We will want to make sure the animals in our care are placed into a permanent home and that does take time. We only want to make a perfect match for you and find the right home for each dog. Please click on this link to
email NSN for an application. We do require references and will do a home visit prior to adoption. Dogs can come into rescue at any given time. An approved application on file has first chance to adopt when a dog becomes available. You MUST pick your new family member up in person. We do not ship dogs. Donations are based on the costs of rescue and Veterinary care. The cost will vary with the individual dog.
WE DO NOT RESCUE FOR PROFIT
We would like to help people keep their companion animals if at all possible. If you must surrender your dog, we do require a signed surrender form and a donation to help feed and care for the dogs waiting for a new family. Please keep in mind that we do not always have room for another animal.
THE DOGS NEED YOU!! If you can Foster or help in any way email
