Help save a life!
Adopt a new feline friend.
The Cat's Cradle Shelter is dedicated to finding the right permanent home for each cat. We offer a three week trial period for each adoption and we will offer advice or happily take our cats back if there are any concerns.
Adoptable Cats\Kittens may be viewed online or at the shelter. If there is a cat you are interested in, talk to a shelter representative. To help improve the likelihood of a successful adoption, we interview prospective adopters to help ensure the cat is right for the home and the home is right for the cat.
To summarize the adoption process:
Cat's Cradle Shelter will not adopt cats or kittens without meeting the adopter(s) in person, nor will we ship cats or kittens.
For adult cats, the adoption fee covers spaying/neutering, vaccinations, feline leukemia/FIV test, de-worming, and microchipping.
For kittens, the fee includes FEL/FIV screening, de-worming, and age-appropriate vaccinations prior to adoption. Costs of subsequent first-year vaccinations, microchipping, and spaying/neutering are also covered only if services are provided by the PAAWS Clinic. Procedures done outside of the PAAWS Clinic are at the adopters own expense.
The Cat's Cradle Shelter is a no-kill shelter for rescued cats and kittens. Our residents live in colonies of 6-10 cats in individual units based on compatibility. They are cared for by a core group of shelter volunteers. Young kittens, cats who need extra socialization, and those needing special medical care are fostered in private homes where they get 24hr care and lots of love and attention. And from there, they go to their furr-ever homes.
The Cat's Cradle Shelter is currently funded 100% by donations, grants/contests, and fundraising.
