The Center for Avian Adoption, Rescue and Education (C.A.A.R.E.) is a 501(c)(3) North Dakota nonprofit corporation devoted to educating the public about, and rehoming of, companion parrots. The organization is family oriented in nature, and both individual and family memberships are available. Requests for on-site visits to schools, nursing homes, and any other venue are welcomed. We welcome persons interested in adopting companion parrots Our mission to find suitable adoptive homes for parrots surrendered into our care is taken quite seriously. If you have a parrot that needs a home, if adoption or an educational meeting appeals to you, or if you already have companion parrots and would like to be in the company of folks with like interests, please check us out!

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE ONLY ADOPT WITHIN A 200-MILE RADIUS OF FARGO, NORTH DAKOTA.
C.A.A.R.E. is dedicated to the well-being of all of the parrots surrendered into our care. Applications for adoption are required and are reviewed by the Adoption Committee for a decision on placement.
Parrots placed by C.A.A.R.E. are not to be used for breeding purposes and may not be sold to others. If the adoptive family is unable to keep the parrot for any reason whatsoever, the parrot must be returned to C.A.A.R.E.
