Our Promise To Them

Our Mission is to find loving families for homeless dogs. Our emphasis is on special needs dogs, adult dogs, dogs with handicaps, whether physical or psychological, dogs recovering from injuries, abuse and/or neglect. We will continue to care for these forgotten ones and provide love and care until they find their forever homes. The dogs for whom adoption does not seem likely will have sanctuary and love for as long as they live.

Our Adoption Process

Step 1- Complete Adoption Application
All Companion Canines pets are inside only. Our goal is to place dogs in the most compatible home possible. Our questionnaire is designed to help acquaint us with the potential adopter and make the best pet-to-home match.
Step 2- Home Visit and Meet & Greet
We know you can't judge a book by the cover-or a pet by a picture. Once an application is approved, we set up a Meet & Greet and Home Visit to see how the dog interacts with the potential adopter.
Step 3- Adoption Fee and Adoption Contract
All pets are vet current at time of adoption. Spay/Neuter (if pet is not already altered) and microchip is included in adoption fee of $175.00. Adoption Contract requires pet be returned to Companion Canines if at anytime he/she can not be kept by adopter. Pet cannot be re-homed or taken to any shelter.

All pets can be seen by appointment. Please contact us at CompanionCanines@gmail.com to make arrangements. We generally serve Union and surrounding counties but will travel outside the area to make a perfect match. We judge by the smiles - not the miles!

Our Featured Pet

Tammy is a sweet little girl who was found on a major highway with a leg injury. She was extremely thin and timid but has put on weight and is very friendly and affectionate. She is crate trained and housebroken. She loves to play with other dogs and is very active. Tammy graduated from the New Leash on Life Program where she learned basic obedience. She is an all around awesome dog!
