Who We Are
Animal Compassion Network is the largest no-kill, non-profit animal rescue organization located in Western North Carolina. Through the hard work of its volunteers and foster homes, ACN has found loving, permanent homes for more than 4,000 cats and dogs since 1999.

Come Visit Us!
Adoptions are held at the PETsMART at the Super WalMart Plaza in East Asheville:
* For dogs: on the first and third Saturday of every month from 11am-3pm.
* For cats: on the first and third Saturday of every month from 11am-3pm, all other Saturdays from 1-3pm, and every Wednesday from 6-8pm. Some of our cats can be seen inside PETsMART daily.
If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat between adoption days, call/email to see if a day can be arranged.
You must meet the animal prior to adoption. We do not ship our animals. However, we do allow out-of-state adoptions if you are willing to travel to us.
