Pearl is a sweet girl who is about a year old. She is shy at first, but will give you kisses and hugs(!) once she warms up to you. Pearl is house and crate trained and loves to run outside in the backyard.
She was neglected and not socialized for most of her life, so she needs a little introduction time with other dogs. After she meets them, she loves to play! Pearl is good with bigger children (small children scare her a little), but would prefer to be in a home without cats; she is a little too interested in them.
Pearl is one petite Pit that you just have to meet. You will fall in love once you look into those sweet brown eyes! She is current on all vet care and is spayed. Can you give Pearl the home she has never had?

Our mission is to rescue, care for, and rehome neglected, abused and or homeless dogs, focusing mainly on the American Pit Bull Terrier (APBT). We are a small, non-profit (501(c)3), foster-based rescue located in Raleigh, NC. We feel that Pit Bulls have gotten a horrible reputation through no fault of their own, so we decided to do something to help.
The APBT is a smart, loyal breed that has become feared and disliked
due to negative stereotypes, irresponsible ownership and all-around ignorance. We believe all dogs deserve a happy life, and Pit Bulls are no exception. Like any dog, the Pit Bull requires training and socialization. For this reason, we do ask that potential adopters fill out an application and be prepared to undergo home visits. We want to ensure that a dog gets placed with an individual that is right for them. Anyone who truly wants to adopt a dog will find this well worth their time and effort.
Each of our dogs is brought up to date on all vaccines and vet care, house trained and taught basic commands. All dogs will be spayed or neutered before being placed in an adoptive home. There is also a required adoption donation of $200.00 to partially reimburse our rescue for vet costs. While some people may feel that this amount is too high, it costs much more than that to fully vaccinate, spay/neuter, medicate, and feed a dog for the time he/she may be in our rescue.
Please contact us for an adoption application. All applicants must undergo a home visit, and have a vet reference. An adoption donation of $200 is also required. We want to ensure that all our dogs find their safe, loving forever homes.
