Instead give a gift of a doggy gift basket (with doggy items) & inside the basket a card that says let's adopt a dog together. (VERY THOUGHTFUL and allows you both to be a part of the adopting process & if a pet is not what your partner wants you have time to discuss it BUT YOUR GIFT WAS STILL VERY THOUGHTFUL AND very ROMANTIC!!*********

The pet will be primarily an outdoor pet.
You have other pets in the household that are not altered without a vet's medical recommendation, or legally binding contract with a breeder.
PLEASE EMAIL US with inquiries on any of our rescues, as returning all calls is very difficult. Rescue efforts are my primary passion, but my job is how I pay my bills & support my rescue missions, so I have a work schedule that my rescue efforts have to work around, I will try to answer all phone calls BUT EMAILING ME IS BEST.
WHEN EMAILING, you will receive a copy of the Adoption Agreement & Application along with additional helpful information about the adoption process. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for giving a rescue dog a 2nd chance for a family of their own.
Who We Are
OPEN ARMS ANIMAL RESCUE was born September of 2007.
Dedicated to Ugly Betty. Ugly Betty was a my very FIRST foster dog that was diagnosed with Heartworms, during the course of nurturing this beautiful neglected Boxer-Bulldog, I had fallen in love. TOLD the rescue I was fostering for I would pay for Betty's treatment and adopt her. While waiting for meds to come in for her procedure, Ugly Betty collapsed in my arms suddenly with no warning. I miss her dearly and from that point on, Ugly Betty inspired me to give my all to what I love until the day I can no more. "I love you and miss you my BEAUTIFUL Ugly Betty".
Open Arms Animal Rescue is not a commercial facility, so an appointment will be necessary to visit with a rescue that you and the family may be interested in. In a home environment more can be known about the rescue's personality and needs. This helps us place the pet with a compatible family.
ALL OF OUR RESCUES MUST BE SPAYED or NEUTERED. The adoption fee will include the pet being altered, micro-chipped and age appropriate vaccines.

We hope to be able to assist you in finding a compatible furever family member and please remember that all our rescues are in a home environment and you will need an appointment to visit.
IN the new year we will have adoptahons at PETSMART in Garner off Timber Dive. We wll post which pets will be at the event and what days on a calendar for your convenience.
