Our Mission
We are in the process of moving. We are sorry if you have had trouble contacting us. We hope to have things all updated soon! Thanks!!
The mission of the Person County Pet Project is to provide exposure and help find rescues or quality homes for the homeless animals of Person County.
The animals on this site were either pulled from the Person County Animal Shelter when they could no longer be held due to overcrowding, or strays who were taken in by caring people who are willing to provide for them until a rescue or permanent home can be found.
Because individual members of the Person Co. Pet Project rescue and foster independently, there is no central shelter. Our beloved pets range from kittens to "mama cats," puppies to seniors, from purebreds to mixes, from little dogs to big dogs; and all are fully vetted (rabies and distemper/parvo vaccinations, worming, heartworm tested and started on heartworm preventive, spay/neutered) before adoption to permanent homes.
Who We Are
Person County Pet Project is one of many networking programs being conducted under the sponsorship of the 501(c)(3) non-profit Project BREED (Breed Rescue Efforts and EDucation), Inc., which promotes the overall and individual welfare of animals nationwide.
This website is simply a showcase to give special pets optimum exposure to special people.
