Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary
Our Mission
According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), approximately 5 million to 7 million companion animals enter animal shelters nationwide every year, and approximately 3 million to 4 million are euthanized. Five out of ten dogs in shelters and seven out of ten cats in shelters are destroyed simply because there is no one to adopt them. In Rowan County alone, nearly 400 animals are euthanized per month.
These staggering statistics have been the motivation for a local grassroots organization to take a stand: Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary (FFAS). The founding members of FFAS thought that there must be a better way to care for the animals in our community, and the vision of an animal sanctuary was born. Faithful Friends Animal Sanctuary (FFAS) is an animal rescue group formed for the sole purpose of starting an animal sanctuary in Rowan County, North Carolina.
