Who We Are
Unfortunatly being in the military we must go where they want us to, and they have chosen Japan. Therefore we will not be taking in anymore owner turn ins or strays. We will gladly try to help place your pet through curtosy listings or through other local rescuesD.O.G.S. (Doggie Orphans Great & Small) is a small 501 c 3 organization dedicated to making a difference for neglected, abused and unwanted animals. We rescue dogs (and puppies) from “death row” at various shelters, get all vetting done and help them to find forever homes. We are located in Eastern NC. We work with many other rescues in our area and abroad to achieve our goals to help as many dogs as we can. We are always looking for fosters, sponsors and volunteers.
Adopting a friend
Adopting a new family member is a three step process. First you must fill out an application that is reviewed to make sure the dog you are interested in fits your household. Second you meet the dog and see if there is a connection also at this point if you have other dogs or pets they can meet the new dog to make sure they get along. The third step is to pay the adoptoin fee ($150 for dogs and $100 for cats and sign the appropriate contracts.
