Our Featured Pet...

Virgo. Virgo is a 2 year old female Pit Bull. She is full grown at 40 lbs. She does well with other dogs, and tries to chase cats (she thinks it is a game). She is crate trained and doing great with house training. She needs either a fenced in yard to play in, or an active family that is a dedicated walker/runner. She has no problems entertaining herself in the yard with toys.

Who We Are

We are a group of individuals whose passion revolves around the APBT. We are very devoted to the breed and presenting the positives of the breed to try and counter-act the bad press caused by their irresponsible owners. American Pit Bull Terriers are among the most abused animals, yet they continue to show devotion and loyalty to their owners, even the bad ones. This loyalty is one of their greatest traits, but also their downfall because they will do as their owners desire whether good or bad. If you are interested in adopting an American Pit Bull Terrier we recommend reading Pit Bulls for Dummies (Very informative book!) as well as doing research online to learn about them, their history, and their everyday needs. AMERICAN PIT BULL TERRIERS ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE!!!!

We started in 2000 with Confirmation showing and finding our first rescue: "Lil Orphan Annie". She was rescued from a dog fighter who used her as a "bait dog", a very sad situation. Today (2008) she is 13 years old with a missing toe and a few scars left from her ordeal, but the best behaved dog with the most love anyone could ask for! She is our reason for switching from showing in sanctioned shows to saving lives, educating the public about the breed, promoting responsible pet ownership, and placing adoptable American Pit Bull Terriers in suitable homes and most importantly reducing the number of American Pit Bull Terriers born by Spaying or Neutering every dog that comes through our organization. We know we can not save them all, but we will do our best to save as many as we can!

Our Primary focus is to help the homeless, abandoned, neglected, and abused Pit Bulls through rescue and rehoming. Our priority is to get them out of harm‘s way by pulling them from kill shelters and helping owners rehome their Pit Bulls, because they dont stand a chance without help!

The sad reality is, most pit bulls don't get a second chance and your dog's life with you may be the only one he will have.

You are your dog's best chance. Your dog can't speak for himself, he is relying on you to make good choices for him. Before you put your dog's life in someone else's hands ask yourself if this is truly your only option.

We regularly get calls from people who think they need to re-home their dogs. Often times after talking with us, they see they can resolve the problem and keep their dog. Please contact us for resources to help you keep your dog safe and at home with you!
