The Bladen County Animal Shelter is located in Elizabethtown, North Carolina,
next to the Powell-Melvin Ag Service Center
30 miles southeast of Fayetteville and 45 miles northwest of Wilmington,
or about two hours from Raleigh.
You are invited to stop by for a visit, and to adopt a four-legged friend!

The cost of adoption for dogs and cats is $60.00. The $15 adoption fee includes a rabies vaccination at a local veterinarian. $45 is applied as partial prepayment for spay or neuter surgery.

You, as the adopter or rescue organization, are responsible for any and all veterinary work given. No health or temperament guarantees are given or implied.

This is a rescue-friendly facility so all reputable rescues are welcome to register in advance as an Adoption Partner.

Pictures are taken and this site is maintained by A Shelter Friend volunteers, who may be able to assist you. Transport can be obtained at a reasonable cost. If you cannot adopt and would like to foster or sponsor a pet please call volunteers at 910-876-0539 or email : A Shelter Friend
