Adoption Fees include spay\neuter, rabies, Bordetella\Parvo\Distemper vaccines, microchip, and county License(for residents of Cumberland County).
Arrangements for spay/neuter surgery are made at time of adoption at a local veterinarian of your choice. The adopted animal will need to be picked up at the veterinarian's clinic 1-3 days after adoption--the time frame is dependent on the day of adoption and scheduling limits(example: Fri. and Sat. adoptions will need to be picked up on Monday or later). Shelter staff will make an appointment for the animal's surgery and transport animal to the clinic. If an animal is pregnant or in heat there will be an additional charge, which is determined by the veterinarian prior to surgery. Animals that are already sterilized can go home the same day as adoption.
We welcome out-of-county and out-of-state adoptions but cannot arrange or provide for transportation.
