The Meaning of Rescue
Now that I'm home, bathed, settled and fed,
All nicely tucked in my warm new bed.
I'd like to open my baggage, lest I forget.
There's so much to carry, so much to regret.
Yes, there it is, right on the top,
Let's unpack loneliness, heartache and loss.
And there by my feeder hides fear and shame.
As I look on these things I tried hard to leave,
I still have to unpack my baggage called pain.
I loved them, the others, the one's who left me,
But I wasn't good enough, for they didn't want me.
Will you add to my baggage, or help me unpack?
Will you look at my things and take me right back?
Do you have the time to help me unpack?
To put away my baggage, to never repack?
I pray that you do, I'm so tired you see,
but I do come with baggage, will you still want me?

We're back! As many of you know, we have been off line since the end of January when our computer was hit and frozen by a virus...
Now that we're back, feel free to contact us through e-mail, but please understand that our response time to you will be delayed as we begin to work through the over 700 e-mails that are awaiting response. We thank you all for your patience and understanding as we begin work to recover from this difficult and frustrating time. Once we begin to catch up on our online comminucation, we are hoping to start resuming scheduling play dates for adoptions by the middle or end of June.
