Our Featured Canine... Skunk!

This boy loves everybody and has adjusted well to being a tripod dog. He spends a lot of his time upside down since he loves belly rubs more then anything else we have to offer him. He's looking for a home to give him the kind of love he can only dream of.

WHO WE ARE

The Tysor Veterinary Clinic is a small vet clinic that offers full service pet care. With the help of a few dedicated volunteers and available resources, we started rescuing and adopting out a small number of cats and dogs in early 2005. We do our best to post referral pets looking for new homes and to accept stray animals in need of a foster home. Unfortunately there are limits to our ability to sponsor animals, so if you are looking to surrender a pet or turn in a stray, please understand that we may not always be able to accept them.

Please click on the dog and cat links to see the animals that are available for adoption. Please note that some are being fostered directly from the Tysor Vet Clinic and some are referral listings. Each animal will have a point of contact listed for you to reach for further information. If the animal you would like to meet is located at our clinic, please call us at 919-742-3646 to schedule an appointment. Walk-in visits don't allow us to provide you with the quality time or information you may be seeking. Thanks for understanding and helping our clinic stay on schedule.

Normally the Tysor Vet Clinic adoption fee is $150 for dogs & puppies and $100 for cats & kittens. This fee helps defer the cost the clinic incurs to spay or neuter the animal, plus vaccinating it against the common preventable diseases (i.e. rabies, distemper). The majority of the animals we accept into our rescue program come in with health problems and the costs associated with getting them healthy far exceed the adoption fee we request.

If you find yourself grateful for the health of your own pets, or would like to help us with our rescue program, please consider donating money or supplies to help us help more of the less lucky pets that pass through our clinic.

As most of our animals come in as strays, we normally do not know what their name is. For identification purposes, we assign a “nickname” to each animal, based upon the animal’s behavior, condition, or some other factor that a staff member notices. It is under the assumption that each of these animals will be renamed when adopted into a new home.

Our animals are also posted on the following websites: www.tysorvet.com and www.1800saveapet.com.
