The SPCA membership drive is currenly in progress. If you support animal welfare and well-being, please join us. Membership brochures are available in stores around Hertford and can be sent to you by emailing a request to slsp@coastalnet.com. In the subject line, please type Membership.
Who We Are
We are a small group of volunteers who have been working together for over seven years. We are a non-profit, 501(c)3 and work toward changing attitudes in this small town enviornment.
We help to foster animals and we provide financial assistance with spay and neuter procedures.
We also conduct twice yearly - usually April and October - Rabies Clinics for a modest fee. Watch the local papers for the next date.
Please take a look at our pets and see if you can open your home and your heart to these special animals.
We have educational information available, and we are available to do programs for schools, churches, community, philanthropic, and other groups.
We meet the SECOND Monday of each month at 6 PM at the Perquimans County Recreation Department, 310 Granby Street (which is off Harvey Point Road and North Commerce Drive) in Hertford, NC.

Adopting a friend
Animals can be seen and adopted by appointment. We require a contract and animals who are not neutered will be given a $50 voucher for spay and neuter.
Come Visit Us!
We do not have a shelter--all animals reside in private foster homes. We are always looking for foster parents. If you can help, please give us a call.
How You Can Help
There are many ways that you can help the SPCA of Perquimans County NC fulfill its mission to serve homeless, needy companion animals in the area.
You can become a member, make a donation, adopt an animal, or join us at our meetings.
If you would like to make a memorial or honorary donation in memory of a pet, relative or friend, please make checks payable to "SPCA Perquimans County NC" and mail to 342 Riverfront Drive, Hertford, NC 27944. Thank you
