Our Adoptable Pet List

Our Featured Pet...

Peak, short for SnowPeak, was rescued from a county shelter as a stray. He was not available to the public due to his severe skin condition and if a rescue had not stepped up for him, he was scheduled to be euthanized. Our vet put him on an aggressive skin treatment and antibiotics were started. Before the medications had a chance to start, we worried that he would give up the battle. He was severely depressed and obviously uncomfortable. He would lay in his open crate and had no desire to move and only occasionally lift his head. Treats didn't appeal to him in his early days here. But gradually the sparkle returned to his eyes and he would venture out and lay on a dog bed. The medication was working, he slowly got back his energy and now he's a playful pup again. His age is estimated to be less than 1 year. He has more treatments scheduled but there is no doubt he's nearly won the battle. He's been neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. Now he fusses when he has to sleep throughout the night in his crate. He's nearly housebroken, loves to snuggle and is a big contender when it comes to tug of war. It will be several more months before Peak is ready for adoption but he would love a visit from a future adopter. He's a maltese/peke mix and weighs approx. 10 lbs.

Who We Are

We're a small rescue accepting small/toy breed dogs from shelters, strays and owner's who find themselves no longer able or who no longer care to tend to the needs of their companion. All the dogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), brought up to date on their vaccinations, dewormed, crate trained and started on their housebreaking skills. If a dental cleaning is necessary, they receive that at the time of altering. All adult males are sent home with a belly band (male wrap) to ensure they understand your household rules before an accident occurs. All our fur-kids are adopted to loving homes who know the true meaning of lifetime companion.
