D.A.R.T. - Duplin Animal Rescue Team
Our Goal:
We rescue adoptable companion animals from county animal control facilities. We rescue them the day before they are scheduled to be euthanized, and place them in loving foster homes until their forever family finds them!
Who We Are:
In April of 2004, a group of concerned citizens exposed the practices at the Duplin County Animal Control facility in Kenansville, N.C. of killing 25-plus animals in a small concrete gas chamber at one time.
Due to public outcry - this facility has ceased this barbaric & inhumane torture, but each week countless companion animals are still dying by euthanasia, not only in Duplin County, but in counties all over NC.
Our goal is to rescue as many animals as we can in an effort to find loving homes for these abandoned animals.
